Dear Students, Parents and Guardians:

 

 

As a native of Philadelphia, my undergraduate work in secondary education was done at Temple University and I have completed graduate studies in education and in theology at La Salle University. My experience in the field of education has been as a teacher at the middle school and high school level and principal at the elementary level as well as serving for three years as Dean of Students here at Phelps.  

 

My role as Assistant Head of School is mainly two-fold: (1) to work closely with the members of the faculty, encouraging them to be self-reflective about their teaching to help foster excellent classroom instruction and (2) to oversee the residential life aspects of the school, working with dorm parents to help create a residential environment for our students that fosters responsibility, integrity, and fellowship.  

 

Finally, I commend all of the boys who have committed themselves to attending The Phelps School. Your commitment to this program that seeks to promote academic and personal growth is an indication of your desire to develop the skills and character that will make you a person of success. Our goal is to do all we can to help you in this endeavor.
