We would like to share with you a few thoughts regarding life at Phelps for those of you residing in Lower Gains. Ms. Abraham and I will do our best once again to make the residential experience for the boys a quality and memorable time in their lives. We will give our best to ensure that no boy is left out and becomes too homesick, while creating a loving and caring atmosphere in their new home. We look forward to creating a “family” within our dorm and hope that the boys quickly realize our dedication to their needs and are willing to become what it means to be a key part of our Lower Gains family.

Activities together as a dorm will be a crucial element of life as a resident of Gains. We look forward to hosting one or more International Dinner Nights in the dining hall again this year. We also anticipate getting off campus for a barbeque along the Brandywine River to relax and are tossing around the idea of some sort of harvest dinner utilizing the fruits of our garden here on campus.

The Phelps School Student/Parent Handbook is an essential resource for school policy and procedure information. Please take the time to review the handbook; if something remains unclear, do not hesitate to contact the school directly or us as dorm parents.
