About Phelps
Since 1946, The Phelps School, has been committed to educating the individual boy. As an all-boys private school in Malvern, Pennsylvania, we serve grades six through twelve and post-graduate students in a supportive, structured environment, making The Phelps School a top boys school in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. With approximately 100 students and small class sizes–an average class size of just seven–our private middle and high school for boys offers the personal attention and encouragement young men need to thrive. Whether as day students or full-time borders, boys benefit from a college preparatory program designed specifically for how they learn, grow, and succeed.
Our Mission

Our mission is to bring out the best in each boy—to help him earn new confidence and respect, to teach him about leadership and humility, and to learn to serve others. The foundation of Phelps is our individualized curriculum, student-first pedagogy, and passionate faculty. Here, "Dedicated to the Individual Boy" is as much a promise we make to every parent as it is a concise description of our school-wide culture. Within this small community, our students build supportive relationships with colleagues and faculty, and they develop a sense of family with many people from diverse backgrounds. Our mission is to help each Phelps boy become a better man.
Our Values

Students Who Serve Others

Preparing boys to be responsible men begins with learning to serve others in their community. At Phelps, our students participate in multiple service projects each year to learn to care for others on campus, in Malvern, and around Philadelphia.
