Baseball History at Phelps

Every spring for the last several decades, The Phelps School Baseball Team has proudly represented the school competing in both the Tri-County Independent League and more recently, the Penn Jersey Athletic Association.  The team has boasted many talented players over the years, many who have played their entire high school careers for the Lions.  In 2012, the team had one of its most successful seasons, finishing 12-4, good enough for runner up in the final standings of league play.   The 2021 season marked a return to play after the nation and world began to recover from the pandemic.  On May 25, 2021 the Lions defeated Community Academy of Philadelphia 9-3, earning the first league championship in school history.  Returning most of the core from the 2021 team in 2022, the team rode a ten game winning streak and an unblemished record in league play to the league championship game, ultimately falling to Perkiomen.  The team's 10-3 record marked the best performance since 2012 and one of the strongest seasons in the team's history.
