Dr. Jack Hasler, Head of School
Dr. Jack Hasler is the Interim Head of School at Phelps. He has been with Phelps since 2020 as the Associate Dean of Academics and a teacher of social studies, statistics, and computer science. He has served as the Internal Coordinator for the Middles States Accreditation Process, the National Honors Society Faculty Advisor, and the Head of our Laurel Dual Credit Program.
Dr. Hasler’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from the George Washington University and a B.A. in English and Political Science from Haverford College. His academic interests have included international relations, political communications, political economy, and quantitative research methods, which he regularly brings into the classroom.
Dr. Hasler has previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice, George Washington University, and Haverford College. He is an avid baker, enjoys reading science fiction, and often can be seen walking his dog around campus on the weekends.
